MODERN WOODEN FLOORS

Our wooden floors have a beautiful and natural luster that gives a soft and inviting feeling. Each board has gotten its appearance from the exact conditions that existed where exactly that tree has grown. Location, weather and soil make the wood raw material unique, just like a fine wine! In order to effectively and sustainably take care of the tree, we use veneer. Veneers are thin layers of wood that have been cut from the finest trees and are as beautiful and rich in appearance as a solid floorboard. Veneer was already invented in ancient Egypt, a country that lacked large forest resources. For those people, wood was a precious raw material that was used sparingly and smartly.

ENDURANCE

To get a stable and durable floor, we use a wood fiber board (HDF) for the middle layer. This is manufactured by making use of waste material from trees and wood production. The whole thing becomes a resource-efficient production where even the waste is transformed into beautiful new floors. This construction also makes the floor very durable. In tests where you drop a hard steel ball on the floor, you can clearly see the advantages of the thin wood layer in combination with the core of HDF. The thin layer resists better and the floor becomes twice as hard as traditional wooden floors, but still with warmth and comfort.

The steel ball shows the strength with thin wooden floors.

LIGHTWOOD

Lightwood consists of natural materials, simply wood. It is constructed in a modern way, in several layers, where each layer is optimized to give the floor the best possible properties. Precision milled joints and a hard wood fiber core (HDF) make it stable and easy to lay. Lightwood lets the natural beauty of the wood come to its right, but uses the wood raw material in a slightly more sensible way.

MAXWOOD

Maxwood is an innovative flooring material that opens up new possibilities for wooden floors and completely new possibilities for decorating with wood. With a well-thought-out construction and smart material choices, it can withstand much more without losing the wooden floor’s natural advantages. Maxwood has a similar construction to Lightwood with an HDF frame and precision milled joints for easy installation, but has a 10.5mm thickness and a natural cork backing.
